Welcome to Mears Accounting! I started this business in May 2024, inspired by my love of numbers and the joy of helping others navigate the sometimes-confusing world of taxes and finances. Whether you're running a business or filing personal taxes, I'm here to make the process easy, efficient, and stress-free.

Where It All Began

I fell in love with accounting while earning my degree at Brockport University. My first taste of the profession was as a tax intern at a small CPA office, and I quickly realized how rewarding it was to help people manage their finances. After graduating with my B.S. in Accounting, I jumped into public accounting as a staff accountant at a small tax firm.

Building Expertise

Along the way, I earned my M.S. in Accounting from Brockport University and gained hands-on experience working with businesses and individuals alike. Eventually, I joined an aerospace and defense contractor as a senior auditor. While I learned a lot during this time, I missed the personal side of accounting—the one-on-one connections and the chance to really make a difference.

That's why I started Mears Accounting. My goal is simple: to combine my years of experience with personalized service, helping clients feel confident about their finances.
